How I work
Every project needs a different balance. Some artists want to experiment and try new ideas; others want to move quickly toward a finished track. I work with both approaches.
I’m comfortable switching between open, creative sessions and focused, goal-driven production. Together we decide where the project sits on that spectrum and shape the workflow around it.

About me
I’m John Verbeek, a producer, mixer and musician based in Amsterdam. I work with artists to shape ideas, find the right sound, and turn recordings into finished tracks. I like keeping the process clear and collaborative. Whether it’s a small acoustic piece, a bigger production or sound for film and theatre, my aim is to create a space where people feel comfortable and creative.
I’ve been a musician for about twenty years, and that’s where my interest in sound originally began. Over time it grew into something larger, a mix of curiosity, technical learning and a love for the craft. I studied mechanical engineering, later completed the Music Production & Sound Engineering program at Sound Education Nederland, and I’ve stayed fascinated by everything that connects music, sound, and technology.
For me, making and sharing music is one of life’s greatest joys. I’ve watched many musicians pause after recording, uncertain about releasing their work. What motivates me is helping them bridge that gap so their music can reach the listeners it deserves.
